Overview

Term 2 finishes with a 60-minute written exam and a project showcase. The written paper covers Topics 3 & 4 through MCQ, short answer and structured questions. The showcase asks each group to demo the robot and walk through the documentation pack in 5 minutes.

Written examination (40 marks)

Section A — MCQ and short answers on Topics 3 & 4. Section B — structured questions on algorithms, the Robot Design Cycle and documentation.

Project showcase (30 marks)

Each group demos the robot and walks through the documentation pack (design brief, sketches, project plan, system doc, help sheet). 5 minutes plus peer Q&A.

Reflection

Reflection is worth marks in the log book (formative). Write what changed in your thinking about robotics and sysadmin, and what you want to carry into Term 3.

Activity

Sit the exam and present the project

  1. Sit the 60-minute written exam.
  2. Rehearse your 5-minute group demo before the showcase.
  3. Present the robot and walk the marker through your documentation pack.
  4. Complete the reflection journal after feedback.
